Exploring Jerusalem

A few weeks ago, I went to Jerusalem with a few girls from the program to check out a Renaissance fair in the Christian Quarter of the Old City. We were able to see some of the activities and performers before it started pouring and the fair came to an abruptly wet end.
Banging away on metal works and period weapons.

Naturally, we stopped for a crepe!

And then it started to rain... a lot! We ran back to our hostel over the cobblestone streets, which were quickly becoming slippery from the downpour. We stayed in a hostel called the Heritage House, in the Jewish Quarter of the Old City, which provides lodging by donation for young Jews who come to explore Jerusalem... a very interesting place.

The next morning, we did some exploring. We ate breakfast at a bakery in the Old City and took a very... interesting walking tour, which led us through three of the four quarters of the Old City.
